GROWING SOUTH HURON’S FUTURE OFFICIAL PLAN UPDATE

We all share a common interest in ensuring that South Huron continues to be an attractive place to live, work, invest, and play. The Municipality of South Huron’s Official Plan is the key policy document to manage and direct physical change in the municipality in the years ahead. Public consultation is an important part of the review process.

You can participate by:

Open House Format: Join us any time between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. to view displays and share your insights with staff. A presentation and facilitated discussion will occur at 6 p.m.

Submitting comments: Reply to this email or use the contact information listed below to submit your thoughts. Comments must be received by Friday, August 16, 2013.

Attending the public meeting: A public meeting required by the Planning Act will be held during the regular South Huron Council meeting on:

Monday, August 12, 2013 at 6:00 p.m.
South Huron Municipal Office  Council Chambers

Information will be collected in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. With the exception of personal information, all comments will become part of the public record. South Huron Official Plan Meetings

OPA Residents are encouraged to attend the Municipality of South Huron Council meetings regarding the Official Plan.

June 17th at 1:00 pm at the Municipal Offices, 322 Main St. South, Exeter.

July 18th – Open House – Town Hall – Exeter, 6:00-9:00pm
July 19th – Open House – St. John’s By The Lake Anglican Church, Highway 21, 6:00-9:00pm
July 25th – Open House – Kirkton-Woodham Community Centre, 6:00-9:00pm
August 12th – Open Council Public Meeting – Exeter, 6:00pm
September 9th – Council Discussions
September 23rd – Council Adopts Official Plan Update (OPA #11)
